ID Werkz - A Brief History

Jayme Johnson in a green shirt and tie, against a stylized background. My name is Jayme Johnson, and I started the ID Werkz website in 2008 as a part of my Master's program in Instructional Technology and Design.

Over time, ID Werkz has grown from a collection of resources to support my work in education and accessibility into a small company that delivers a big impact.

Since 2001, I have been working in the California Community College system on accessibility issues, most recently as the Director of Accessibility and User Experience for the Online Education Initiative.

I've been fortunate in being able to work with some of the best minds and most talented individuals in accessibility and online education.

I've learned what works and how to support faculty to succeed with sustainable and reasonable approaches to solving instructional problems.

I'm now devoting more time towards helping people deal with accessibility challenges and to understand and communicate more effectively through digital media.

This allows me to utilize my network of expertise and indulge my passion for helping people to address issues of user experience and accessibility.

If you have accessibility challenges you need to address, contact me and let me know how ID Werkz can help you.
